Parade Pics..

Sunday we went to the parade and had a great time. The children ended up with bags of candy. Not full mind you, but plenty for them to be happy. :)
Here is some pics to share with you;
walking to the parade..

I loved the horses..

loved this...wouldn't it be perfect for a wedding or renewal??

The kiddos watching and waiting for more candy..

gotta have a clown..

We live in farm country and farm country wouldn't be complete without a few of these..
A church here in Maple City had a huge cross they were carrying. I loved it! Made me think of the verse that tells us to take up our cross and deny ourselves;
Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. ~Luke 9:23-24
more stuff..

Gray..

I was reading through different articles, blogs, and poems, etc about postpartum depression when I came across a poem that spoke of living in the gray and it just SHOUTED out at me. That's how I feel and it puts into perspective..
a word picture if you will..
I can get up and take care of my children and even be a wife but it's all done while living in the gray.
I feel off..
in a fog, no focus, memory seems so fuzzy,
I lack joy..in being a mother and being a wife..with life..
wanting to be alone and run away and hide..
losing my patience more than normal..
feeling overwhelmed
 confused
 etc...

Living in the gray...

Bike riding and the trails...

Here in Maple City we have a lot of bike trails. They are all very nice and the city does alot to keep them looking beautiful.
The one near our home is called the Pumpkinvine Trail. It's 10 miles there and back. Last week we went on a bike ride as a family for the first time since I had my baby. We didn't go the whole 10 miles but did 4-5 miles. Then tonight we packed a picnic supper and headed out on another trail which takes you down to a castle park and then under a new bridge they just built for those who bike and walk the trail. At least another 4-5 miles tonight too.
Bike riding is what we do for fun together! We all love it! Finding new places to explore and bike ride is fun too! :)
Here are a few pics of us and the Pumpkinvine Trail..

My dh get's farm fresh eggs from a man who lives near his place of employment. They are so wonderful and we just had to take a picture of the size of the eggs compared to store bought eggs. They are much bigger...

Rise Up Men of G-d..

Think this song says it all...

Rise up O men of God,
Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and soul and mind and strength,
To serve the King of Kings,
To serve the King of Kings.

Rise up O men of God,
His Kingdom tarries long,
Bring in the day of brotherhood,
And end the night of wrong,
And end the night of wrong.

Rise up O men of God,
The Church for you doth wait.
Send forth to serve the needs of men
In Christ our strength is great,
In Christ our strength is great.

Lift high the Cross of Christ,
Tread where His feet have trod,
As brothers of the Son of Man,
Rise up O men of God,
Rise up O men of God.

Rise up O men of God,
Have done with lesser things.
Give heart and soul and mind and strength,
To serve the King of Kings,
To serve the King of Kings.

swaying to what moves me..

I have been feeling the crunchiness calling me. I have this longing to put on my long ruffled skirt, get out my sandals, put a headband in my hair and sway with the movement of the wind...

I long for home and being busy with the things of motherhood..like nesting only after the baby arrives instead of before.

I love sunshine and mornings where the sun streams in the windows and brightens up the gloom.

I have a sitting area in my dining room where my nursing corner is..I find such peace sitting in my glider nursing my sweety baby and reading devotions or books that uplift my spirit.

I feel a calling and need to make healthy bread..the smell filling up the entire house. And wholesome meals that nourish these beautiful children I have been blessed with.

I love to light candles and let the aroma fill my senses.

Cool dirt on my hands as I plant living things into the soil and pray blessings over each one.

Such beauty surrounds me and touches me deep inside..

It moves me...
