30 Day Blog Journal (Day Eighteen)

30 Days..

Day 18 - my wedding/future wedding/past wedding..

Well, I was married 16 years ago in Feb. We didn't have a big wedding. My dh and I paid for it ourselves and I had to make alot of things by hand and do other things as cheaply as possible. But, our wedding was wonderful all the same!!

I already put a pic of me on our wedding day in another 30 day post so today I will post a pic of our renewal. We renewed our vows in our 10th year of marriage. We plan to do so again at 20 years!

I ordered a dress that was maternity but still formal and pretty.I was 30 weeks along with my daughter ZaraLayna. My dh wore a tux again and we decorated the church. This time our children walked with us down the aisle. MY oldest wrote a poem and spoke at the ceremony. A friend of mine from CO came up and made us a beautiful cake!  We chose worship songs and hymns to sing. Then afterwards we went up to the mountain to celebrate!

We left the next morning and went on a 2nd honeymoon to CO! It was wonderful!! :)

So on to pics..
our wedding renewal cake..

My dh was saying a few words about me and our life together..I will never forget it! It was so sweet and wonderful and beautiful!

I am washing my dh's feet here as a sign of my submission to him in our marriage and life..

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Fifteen)

30 Days..
Day Fifteen..

my dream house...

My dream house would be on some acreage. A place where I can grow a big garden, have some animals and enough space for my children to run. I would love to have a small creek running through the property and some woods behind the house to forage through for edible herbs and such. I want enough land to sustain our family. To be self sufficient and have to rely less on the government.
Inside I would like at least 4 decent sized bedrooms, a dining room, living room, kitchen thats a good size, pantry, basement for the children to play in and an indoor porch.
It would need to be child friendly! I really like old homes so it wouldn't need to be new. And I LOVE to decorate so it wouldn't have to be perfect either. I would add my own touch and flavor to the home!
I would like it to be a moderate sized home for entertaining. I love to be hospitable. :) But it doesn't have to be huge..don't have time to clean a large home when raising my children.
Would love a barn and coop on the property or other small storage unit.

hmmmm..well, guess that's all I can think of for now..:)

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Fourteen)

30 Days..
Day Fourteen..

a non-fictional book...

Well, the best nonfiction book I have read lately besides Yeshua's Word is Friendships for Grown Ups by Lisa Welchel. Elohim has done an amwesome work in my heart and life and it started with this book. While reading it I felt as if the words Lisa wrote I had written myself. It was given to me by a good friend of mine and I know the L-rd laid me on her heart as she read. Isn't He so good??

Go ahead! Check it out for yourself and be prepared to be changed and renewed!! :)

It was Crimson Eve. I really enjoy all of her books. Check it out! You might too!

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Twelve)

30 Days..
Day twelve..

Something I am OCD about...
I would say my home. I like my home to be cozy, homey and CLEAN. I have had to learn to let some of my OCD nature regarding things out and not put away (like toys and books etc) go. I am still even now learning or trying to learn to relax.
I like my home to be neat and put together. I can be like a drill Sargent sometimes in this area..:(
I can literally think better when my home is clean and uncluttered.
But, I believe there to be a balance and I am striving to find it. :)

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Eight)

30 Days..
Day eight...

A photo that makes me angry/sad...
Not such a fun topic today but let me see...

This picture makes me sad and angry.. This is me at the end of 2007 as I had just started my weight loss journey. This pic even better lets you see how heavy I was. It makes me sad that I got to this point and although I know it was from many years of having many babies I still tear up when I see these pictures. And it makes me angry at myself that I endangered my health in this manner. I had no energy, was out of breath and life just didn't have the sparkle it does today.

I don't have alot of sad /angry pics but this one fits the bill.. Today I am 80 pounds lighter or more! Thank you L-rd Yeshua!!

A photo that makes me happy...
Can I share a few that make me happy??
This is me the first day of Weight Watchers Dec. 10, 2007. I took this picture to document the beginning of a new life!  Weight Watchers has changed my life! I am thinner now than I have been in at least 10 years or more. I thank G-d for this program every day!

This is our van. We got it in Jan. 2009. This picture makes me happy because it reminds me of how AWESOME my L-rd is and how He always provides!
This pic makes me happy because this man, my sweet dh is the love of my life! And everything that followed our wedding day has brought so much happiness and fulfillment.
KianAdley's birth 5-17-10...My baby's birth-days have been the most amazing events in my life! The L-rd has blessed me with awesome labors and births and has given me such wonderful experiences.
This makes me happy and sad..my sweet baby girl RuthAnne who passed on in 2002. I look forward to the day when I get to hold her again...in glory...

Blessings!

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Five)

30 Days..
Day Five..

My favorite quote..
A favorite quote? I don't have a favorite..there is just too many quotes (and obviously alot of everything else too) to have a favorite. BUT, I have alot I like a whole bunch..
Here's some I like...

homeschooling quotes;

Bless me, what *do* they teach them at these schools? - CS Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe

I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must taught to think. - Anne Sullivan (Helen Keller's teacher)

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. - Mark Twain

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. - Thoreau

Quotes on faith;

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.

Jim Elliot

"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength."
Corrie ten Boom

God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will, a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what He is up to.

Elisabeth Elliot

Close to a favorite...
"The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of christian, But the fact that I am a christian does make me a different kind of woman."
Elisabeth Elliot

Breastfeeding quotes..

Breast Feeding should not be attempted by fathers with hairy chests, since they can make the baby sneeze and give it wind.  ~Mike Harding, The Armchair Anarchist's Almanac, 1981

There are three reasons for breast-feeding:  the milk is always at the right temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get it.  ~Irena Chalmers

I see my body as an instrument, rather than an ornament.  ~Alanis Morissette, quoted in Reader's Digest, March 2000

Update on KianAdley

KianAdley has been diagnosed with Pulmonic Stenosis

Pulmonary stenosis is a congenital (present at birth) defect that occurs due to abnormal development of the fetal heart during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy.

The pulmonary valve is found between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.... It has three leaflets that function like a one-way door, allowing blood to flow forward into the pulmonary artery, but not backward into the right ventricle.

With pulmonary stenosis, problems with the pulmonary valve make it harder for the leaflets to open and permit blood to flow forward from the right ventricle to the lungs.

His pulmonic stenosis is mild. Mild pulmonary stenosis often does not require treatment. They can live healthy full lives with this and sometimes it disappears as they grow. And the mild form doesn't progress.

Thank you so much for praying for him! I am praising the L-rd that it's what it is and not something worse. I am praising G-d that He has heard my prayers and yours and that my precious baby boy will get to live a long and full life!

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Four)

30 Days...
Day Four...

My Favorite Book...
That's easy; my favorite book is the Bible; Elohim's Word. His love letter to mankind!

But I have other one's that I REALLY liked such as...

Israel, My Beloved by Kay Arthur. This story is written as an analogy of the L-rd and His people Israel. It's a love story! It was wonderful!

A Mom Just Like You by Vickie Farris. This is one of the most encouraging books I have read for large families who homeschool. I still reread it every now and then and it never fails to encourage me in my walk as a Christian mother of a large homeschooling family!

Stepping Heavenward by E. Prentiss. This book, every time I read it draws me to the heart of G-d. I love it!

Well, there's a few. Enjoy!

No matter What..

I'm running back to your promises one more time, Lord that's all I can hold on to, I gotta say this has taken me by surprise, but nothing surprises you. Before a heartache can ever touch my life, it has to go through Your hands, and even though I keep asking why, I keep asking why,

No matter what, I'm gonna love You, no matter what I'm gonna need You, I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not, I'll trust you, no matter what, no matter what.

When I'm stuck and there's nothing else by myself, I'm just sitting in silence, there's no way I can make it without Your help, I wont even try it. I know You have Your reasons for everything, so I will keep believing, whatever I might be feeling, God you are my hope, and you will be my strength,

No matter what, I'm gonna love You, no matter what I'm gonna need You, I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not, I'll trust you, no matter what, no matter what.

Anything I don't have You can give it to me, but it's ok if You don't, I'm not here for those things, the touch of Your love is enough on its own, no matter what I still love You and I'm gona need You

No matter what I'm gonna love you, no matter what I'm gonna need you, I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain but if not , I'll trust You, no matter what, no matter what. I know You can find a way to keep me from the pain, but if not, I'll trust you, no matter what no matter what no matter no matter what

Asking for prayer everywhere....

I am asking for prayer everywhere I can think of as I serve a BIG G-d and I know that he hears and answers the prayers of His people!!  Please pray for my sweety baby!
That pic of the beautiful blue eyed baby under my blog title? That's KianAdley! He is so precious to me!

Today I took KianAdley (almost 6 months) in to the dr. as he has had the stomach flu for quite a few days. While there, the Dr. discovered he has a loud heart murmur.
We are very worried and scared as our last child with a heart murmur ended up being diagnosed with serious heart defects and passed away at almost a month old. Her name was RuthAnne.
He has an echo scheduled for 10:30am  on Friday Nov. 12.
We would love prayer that the murmur isn't anything serious or significant; an "innocent" murmur as they are called.
Thank you!

I also enjoy NCIS, Law and Order SVU and Leverage.
