Mercy Love

Again Father has been teaching me about love. Scripture tells us love is obeying His commandments and laying our lives down for our brother/sister. (Ephesians)

Laying our life down for someone else isn't always easy. It can be hard when we feel angry or are hurt.
I chose years ago to love others right where they were. To love them regardless of our differences. My reason for this choice was simple: Love like I wish I had been loved. I know what it is to feel unworthy and unloved. To feel that you aren't worth it and deserve nothing of any value. I wanted to offer my love to others so maybe I could change one person's day. I could make one person feel deserving and lovable. And maybe even change a life?

So, I have felt my own hurt and anger lately. That ugly word REJECTED! And yet, the Father's still small voice asking me to keep on loving regardless what was happening, yes regardless of  what was happening TO ME!   And isn't that the true test? Can I, will I keep loving others even when it's hard? Even when my heart feels broken? Even when I feel rejected? Can I keep loving so my heart doesn't turn cold? So it doesn't dry up and bitterness well up inside the dryness?

I sat listening to scripture being read and the question being asked, "My daughter if you choose love all will be well." "Love them like I love them"

After days of tears and turmoil I lifted my eyes to the heavens and said "Yes, Father! I choose love!" Peace in that instant rained down and filled my heart.

Today the enemy came trying to make a mess. Stirring the pot..making that same old feeling of rejection and hurt rise to the surface. But love came to the rescue. I again made that choice, mercy love...that same mercy love Christ showed me at Calvary. That same mercy love where I stand before  the King in my filthiness yet, clothed in white.

My heart wide open and full of embrace. Loving and laying down my life for my brothers. Obeying my Father..

her name & pictures

There has been a slight change in baby girl's name..
We have combined her names into one as ya'll know I LOVE double names and added a very special middle name. When I look at my precious baby I see HOPE...I see how I prayed and fought for her for 9 months..how I held onto HOPE that at the end I would be rewarded with a baby girl I got to hold in my arms. Scripture tells us that we have this HOPE in Father and that this HOPE does not disappoint!
So her name is now:
Aibhlinn-Nylia Hope

Pictures and an update!

It's been awhile since I have updated. Life has been hectic with having a new baby and adjusting to nursing much and often. Also there is always alot going on at our home.

Sunday evening we all went to Olive Garden. Yes, you read that right. All 13 of us went! It was fun! And delicious!!! After we finished we went to Braum's for ice cream. My poor love sacrificed himself and ate all the rest of everyone's ice cream cone. :) We got double dip cones for everyone but the 2 yr. old and baby and they just ended up being too much for the kiddos so daddy got the honors of eating what was left.

 KianAdley

All of us at the table..if you look closely you can see me at the very end on the left and my sweety making a goofy face on the right!

KianAdley enjoying his grapes!

And Sunday night we were hit with a terrible snowstorm. A record was set for the most snow here in our city in Tx! 19 inches! My sweety stayed home Monday as it was blizzard conditions outside and   many people ended up being stuck all over the city. One young man ended up being at our home for a few hrs as he also got stuck just past our home. Thankfully someone was available to come get him.

I have been stuck at home all week and I am going a bit stir crazy. Tomorrow is my weekly Chiro appt. and I have to say I am glad to be getting out for a little while. My love said the roads are much better today.

We also have been making plans for the next animals we're planning on purchasing for our little homestead. We're going to be getting meat chickens, meat turkeys & goats. But before we can get our goats we have to buy fencing and prepare their home. I have been reading about raising dairy goats and have learned that they are quite the escape artists! So getting the right kind of fencing is essential.

We are expecting eggs from our hens here shortly. We did order all female chicks but sometimes a male gets in the order. And from what it looks like we have one rooster. He already acts like one too! Keeping all his ladies in line. :)

Well, let me end here with some pictures of a few of my children and of course our newest blessing Aibhlinn Nylia..

KianAdley, milkies and 18 yrs!

KianAdley my 2yr. old is keeping me on my toes. He has started to climb on my back and wrap his arms around my neck while I am sitting. Usually while I am trying to nurse Aibhlinn. He doesn't like it when I nurse his baby sister and chants over and over, "Mama, I want to guckle!" And sometimes the volume increases also.

It has been rough on my sweet baby boy having to share his mama and her milkies. I am making sure to give him lots of loves and kisses. Reminding him that he has to share with baby sister. I think in time he'll get better at it and understand more.

Today Aibhlinn Nylia is 12 days old. Today is also my 18th wedding anniversary!

She is gaining..

Aibhlinn Nylia after birth was down to 6lbs 9oz. We weighed her today and she is back up to 7lbs. 4oz. So is she is gaining. She'll be two weeks old on Feb. 13. She may not be back to birth weight by then but gaining as she is, is fine. My children tend to be on the small side and gain slowly. Also a bf infant does gain weight alot of times at a slower pace.

She is doing well with breastfeeding. At night it can take her a few times to latch on but she does eventually latch on and suckle well.   She is getting better and better at it. We are having plenty of wet and poopy dipes.

KianAdley is enjoying having mama's milkies again after months of nothing but the small amount of colostrum I had during my pregnancy. He nurses on demand all day and into the evening until around 9pm when he heads to bed. Each morning he comes into my room and nurses for a long time. After a night without him suckling my breasts are VERY full so he gets his fill of milk. He loves it! He is getting pretty chunky, too!

I think I finally gave birth to a baby that looks like me! So far I am getting comments that she looks like me although of course they do see daddy too.
