KianAdley, milkies and 18 yrs!

KianAdley my 2yr. old is keeping me on my toes. He has started to climb on my back and wrap his arms around my neck while I am sitting. Usually while I am trying to nurse Aibhlinn. He doesn't like it when I nurse his baby sister and chants over and over, "Mama, I want to guckle!" And sometimes the volume increases also.

It has been rough on my sweet baby boy having to share his mama and her milkies. I am making sure to give him lots of loves and kisses. Reminding him that he has to share with baby sister. I think in time he'll get better at it and understand more.

Today Aibhlinn Nylia is 12 days old. Today is also my 18th wedding anniversary!

She is gaining..

Aibhlinn Nylia after birth was down to 6lbs 9oz. We weighed her today and she is back up to 7lbs. 4oz. So is she is gaining. She'll be two weeks old on Feb. 13. She may not be back to birth weight by then but gaining as she is, is fine. My children tend to be on the small side and gain slowly. Also a bf infant does gain weight alot of times at a slower pace.

She is doing well with breastfeeding. At night it can take her a few times to latch on but she does eventually latch on and suckle well.   She is getting better and better at it. We are having plenty of wet and poopy dipes.

KianAdley is enjoying having mama's milkies again after months of nothing but the small amount of colostrum I had during my pregnancy. He nurses on demand all day and into the evening until around 9pm when he heads to bed. Each morning he comes into my room and nurses for a long time. After a night without him suckling my breasts are VERY full so he gets his fill of milk. He loves it! He is getting pretty chunky, too!

I think I finally gave birth to a baby that looks like me! So far I am getting comments that she looks like me although of course they do see daddy too.

DSP

I don't normally post about this here but I really am hoping ya'll could pray for healing. I have DSP; Here is an explanation that fits perfectly with what I felt when it happened and how it feels today..

"The non-pregnant gap (between pubic bones) is 4-5mm but in pregnancy there will be an increase of at least 2-3mm due the ligaments which surround and insert into the joint as they remodel under the influence of hormones. Therefore, it is considered that a total width of up to 9mm between the two bones is normal for a pregnant woman. This natural extra gapping decreases within days following the delivery, although the supporting ligaments will take three to five months to fully return to their normal state. An abnormal gap is considered to be 1cm or more, sometimes with the two bones being slightly out of alignment. If there is a complete separation, that is, a traumatic tear, and the joint will be completely unstable. This tear can be felt and sometimes heard by the woman. There will be intensive pain followed by swelling and inflammation. The woman is unable to move her back, trunk, hips and legs without causing severe pain. When lying on her back her legs involuntary move apart and without the ability to close them together. This type of pelvic fracture needs to be treated as such and investigations into possible involvement of the sacroiliac joints should be addressed. It is important to note that the same can happen to the sacroiliac joints, and could lead to laxity and even inflammation. This involvement could involve one or both sacroiliac joint(s). A separation or diastasis can also be the result of traumatic forces from either an incident during the pregnancy or delivery. A diastasis of the symphysis pubis is a condition of Pelvic girdle pain."

The separation between my pubic bone is 23..:(

Please pray for me..This time postpartum it is pretty bad again and very similar to the year I was diagnosed in 2007. It affects every part of my life and it's very hard to deal with physically and emotionally. TY!

While I wait....

As I wait on our newest baby blessing to arrive I have been keeping myself busy with tasks around my home.

There were things that needed to be tackled such as washing curtains that due to condensation around the windows had become moldy. A sunroom/schoolroom that had gotten some of the littles books wet and a bookcase full of books to be moved to avoid the trash can.

The bookcase was moved and reorganized. The sunroom/schoolroom was cleaned and organized. New curtains were put on the front window and in the living room curtains added where there was none.

Sunroom/schoolroom all tidy and organized!

New living room curtains

Front window and the new curtains!

I am also trying to take weekend walks with my sweet love and children. It's slow going and can be painful as baby has settled into my pelvis but to breathe in the fresh air and look joyfully at the clear blue skies I find it worth it!

Many windmills near us..

My sweet Gabby girl.

The big field next to our home.(and Isaac)

Always keeping busy with homeschooling...We have a lighter schedule these days due to me being at the end of my pregnancy.

ZaraLayna & Isaac coloring their History pages from Story of the World.

And always staying in Father's Word. I can feel so vulnerable and weak at the end of my pg..a tad bit impatient too so I find it so very important that I stay connected to Father through His Word. I may fail and fall but He is my strength and my Strong Tower!

Blessings!!!
