30 Day Blog Journal (Day Eight)

30 Days..
Day eight...

A photo that makes me angry/sad...
Not such a fun topic today but let me see...

This picture makes me sad and angry.. This is me at the end of 2007 as I had just started my weight loss journey. This pic even better lets you see how heavy I was. It makes me sad that I got to this point and although I know it was from many years of having many babies I still tear up when I see these pictures. And it makes me angry at myself that I endangered my health in this manner. I had no energy, was out of breath and life just didn't have the sparkle it does today.

I don't have alot of sad /angry pics but this one fits the bill.. Today I am 80 pounds lighter or more! Thank you L-rd Yeshua!!

30 Days...
Day seven...

A photo that makes me happy...
Can I share a few that make me happy??
This is me the first day of Weight Watchers Dec. 10, 2007. I took this picture to document the beginning of a new life!  Weight Watchers has changed my life! I am thinner now than I have been in at least 10 years or more. I thank G-d for this program every day!

This is our van. We got it in Jan. 2009. This picture makes me happy because it reminds me of how AWESOME my L-rd is and how He always provides!
This pic makes me happy because this man, my sweet dh is the love of my life! And everything that followed our wedding day has brought so much happiness and fulfillment.
KianAdley's birth 5-17-10...My baby's birth-days have been the most amazing events in my life! The L-rd has blessed me with awesome labors and births and has given me such wonderful experiences.
This makes me happy and sad..my sweet baby girl RuthAnne who passed on in 2002. I look forward to the day when I get to hold her again...in glory...

Blessings!

30 Day Blog Journal (Day Five)

30 Days..
Day Five..

My favorite quote..
A favorite quote? I don't have a favorite..there is just too many quotes (and obviously alot of everything else too) to have a favorite. BUT, I have alot I like a whole bunch..
Here's some I like...

homeschooling quotes;

Bless me, what *do* they teach them at these schools? - CS Lewis, The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe

I am beginning to suspect all elaborate and special systems of education. They seem to me to be built upon the supposition that every child is a kind of idiot who must taught to think. - Anne Sullivan (Helen Keller's teacher)

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. - Mark Twain

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. - Thoreau

Quotes on faith;

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.

Jim Elliot

"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength."
Corrie ten Boom

God is God. Because He is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will, a will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what He is up to.

Elisabeth Elliot

Close to a favorite...
"The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of christian, But the fact that I am a christian does make me a different kind of woman."
Elisabeth Elliot

Breastfeeding quotes..

Breast Feeding should not be attempted by fathers with hairy chests, since they can make the baby sneeze and give it wind.  ~Mike Harding, The Armchair Anarchist's Almanac, 1981

There are three reasons for breast-feeding:  the milk is always at the right temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get it.  ~Irena Chalmers

I see my body as an instrument, rather than an ornament.  ~Alanis Morissette, quoted in Reader's Digest, March 2000

Update on KianAdley

KianAdley has been diagnosed with Pulmonic Stenosis

Pulmonary stenosis is a congenital (present at birth) defect that occurs due to abnormal development of the fetal heart during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy.

The pulmonary valve is found between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery.... It has three leaflets that function like a one-way door, allowing blood to flow forward into the pulmonary artery, but not backward into the right ventricle.

With pulmonary stenosis, problems with the pulmonary valve make it harder for the leaflets to open and permit blood to flow forward from the right ventricle to the lungs.

His pulmonic stenosis is mild. Mild pulmonary stenosis often does not require treatment. They can live healthy full lives with this and sometimes it disappears as they grow. And the mild form doesn't progress.

Thank you so much for praying for him! I am praising the L-rd that it's what it is and not something worse. I am praising G-d that He has heard my prayers and yours and that my precious baby boy will get to live a long and full life!
