I am not...

I am not very eloquent with my words..I mess up when I speak and in this computer age when I type..

I am not a very good friend or mama..I am imperfect. I am not a very good wife..

I get hurt and angry and lose my temper..

I hurt others and say things I shouldn't..I hold grudges and forget to forgive..

....but something a lady at the community bible study said today keeps running over and over in my mind:
That compared to what Christ Messiah did for us on the cross; what He went through, all our troubles and grievances against others are so petty...so unimportant...
I needed to hear that today..I needed a reminder to forgive and walk in love toward others.. I needed to be reminded about what life is truly about and what really matters.  I needed to focus on this and not what he or she said that hurt me...not what life hands me...

Let my life be all about You Father...Let it shine for You and Your glory!

Goat Milk Butter

A friend of mine is supplying us with fresh goats milk. My dd ZaraLayna is lactose intolerant so the goats milk is truly for her. She can digest goats milk and she loves it! I love seeing her smile with a creamy milk moustache..

Yesterday my dd Morgan-Britney and I made goat milk butter together. It was the first time we have made butter with goats milk. It turned out great! It's a creamy white color and ZaraLayna said it's yummy too!

The goat milk and the cream we separated from it in the container with the green lid.

After we whipped it in the mixer we put it in the here to strain all the buttermilk out of it. You turn the butter over and over and press again and again until the buttermilk is all out of the butter..

You can see all the liquid in it..the buttermilk..

After much pressing and turning..the creamy white goat milk butter..

and here is the buttermilk...

Our next step in this journey is cheese making..goat milk cheese!

Helpers and Strength

Last week I got a fabulous set of tools to help me with getting my home, children, myself & homeschooling organized!  It has already made a huge difference in our home! My helpers..

This week I am spending my time, well alot of it focusing on getting myself and my schedule back on track. I feel so off kilter spiritually, physically & mentally. I know our move has thrown me off and not being in the Word from the move and well, just all of it...
I have such a hunger for the L-rd and His word in my heart! Times like these I see just how much I need Him. I come to the end of myself and there He is. It is only Yeshua who satisfies..

In between doing this:
I am trying to find some time to think and schedule and be a mama that honors Father. That loves her dh and nurtures her children. I have no strength for these things on my own. I have to find my strength through Father..
I grow weary and tired but the L-rd, He will carry me!

Treating my dh with honor..

Now that things have started to settle down for us a bit I am trying to put my focus on getting back into Yah's word daily and work on those things He has shown me that need work in my marriage.

Over the years I have developed attitudes toward my dh that I don't like. I am not sure when it happened and I can't pinpoint the exact moment they began but it is what it is..

One day a few weeks ago I stood looking in the mirror thinking how much I disliked who I was when around my dh. Bad attitudes creep in so easily. When my dh came home that evening I confessed this to him and since that night I have been working towards improving the way I relate to my dh.

When I sit and truly ponder who my dh is I realize how very blessed I am. I can get so caught up on those little things that because I think upon them too much become great big monsters. Then they seem much bigger than they actually are!
My dh is a sweet kind man. He is willing to help me and does so much for all of us. He works hard everyday to provide for us. He helps me with raising the children. He cooks and cans. He organizes all of my pantry shelves. Thats a huge help!! :)

Something that a lady I met while living in IN said to me has helped me alot. She said that I was like her in that I have my principles and I put my principles before people. How true! I do that with everyone including my dh. I am working on remembering people are more valuable than the principles I hold myself to.

A few things I am doing:
I am stopping before I speak and making sure my tone is kind.
I am purposefully speaking kind things to my dh even if I don't feel that way at the time.
I am trying to say something uplifting to him everyday.

I am already seeing, no feeling a change in myself just from acting on these things.

Today's scripture from my devotion speaks to this:

"And my G-d will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Yeshua." Philippians 4:19

Yah will provide all I need to treat my dh with the honor he deserves. He will supply what I need to act in a way that reflects the love of Father.

Blessings!
