Derailed..

Since my sweety baby Kian Adley was born I have felt like life has been whizzing by in a great big blur. I would just start to feel like I was gaining ground and then something else would happen.. I begin to see that the enemy was trying to derail me...
And perhaps for a time he did...

But during these weeks and the trials that have accompanied them still He has been with me speaking into the quiet and into my heart.

He has been laying on my heart the need not to only prepare physically but also spiritually. So often we find that we feel we have to take action and stock up, fill our pantries and cupboards.  Buy in bulk and be prepared for the coming hard times. And these are all good things but if we have neglected our spiritual preparation than we have forgotten the most important part!

Our hearts need to be prepared for the coming days. We need to work our spiritual muscles training them for the days ahead.
Looking to the L-rd, seeking Him and learning from Him. We need to find that zealousness we have lost; that fire and let it burn away the fodder in our hearts and lives!

We need to be listening to His voice. Listening over the things in life that distract us from the BIG picture..so often we get caught up in such silliness and somehow we let ourselves believe it really matters..

And what is His still small voice speaking to us? For me, it's these words whispered over and over in my ear.....TRUST and OBEY...
Two words that hold so much...When I am worried and afraid...when life seems overwhelming I cling to His command just to trust and obey and I find comfort and that peace which surpasses understanding.

So yes, I was derailed but as I looked up I saw Yeshua's hand held out to me; beckoning me...And when He held my grasp firmly in His the skies cleared, the storms calmed and my little train was firmly back where it belonged...

I Lay My Whys

I Lay My Whys

I lay my "whys"
before your Cross
in worship kneeling,
mind too numb
for thought,
heart beyond
all feeling.

And worshiping,
realize that I,
knowing you,
don't need a "why."

A time set apart...

Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d,King of the universe, who has made us holy by giving us his commandments, and has commanded us to kindle the Shabbat lights.

Tonight at sunset begins Shabbat or Sabbath. It is a set apart time where we rest from our burdens and come unto Elohim, meditating upon Him and His righteousness.  May we bring honor and glory to His name with our very breath! Shabbat Shalom to those near and to those far away!

More like a woman..

I used to get my nails done often and then redone when they needed it. I loved it! I felt feminine and pretty. My nails on their own are, well, just not pretty!
It was part of the new me that came about because I lost alot of weight. Well, I am losing again to get the pregnancy weight off and I am really thinking of going in and getting them done. I just need to for me..to feel pretty and feminine.
Do you have anything like that you do for yourself? Something that makes you feel more like a woman and pretty..??

Captivating.....A book review..

Have you ever felt alone and unloved? Have you ever set aside your hopes and dreams unsure if they will ever come true?
In captivating John and Stasi Eldredge tell women why we feel these things. Why we feel and listen to the lies of the enemy. How Satan wants to destroy our beauty created by the L-rd Himself.
We look for the answer to the question are we loved and cherished by behaving certain ways. Letting our environment shape us into who we are, instead of listening to what Elohim says to us of our loveliness. We listen to the world and the lies perpetrated by the one who wants to destroy us.
Stasi Eldredge explains to us how to see our true beauty. That we are created to be the beauty in this world. She tells us as women how to ignore the lies of the enemy and to let who we are to come out and to let ourselves be vulnerable; feminine and lovely, but all along being strong in the L-rd!
You will find hope and courage to be the woman G-d created you to be in this book!
I recommend you read Captivating! You will not be disappointed!

Daily Life..

I am taking advantage of the small bits of time when I am feeling a little better to type up this blog post..
I have an infected tooth that has caused the right side of my face and under my chin to swell up. I am on penicillin and motrin and vicodin for pain. It is day 3 and I think the penicillin is finally starting to take effect. I am still swollen but it has went down a tiny bit. Still in pain but every 4 hrs I am taking motrin and every 6 hours vicodin..
Once again the couch has become my best friend.. It seems to be one thing right after another here since baby was born. I tend to get sick one way or another after I give birth to a baby..I am just so worn down and tired that my immune system can't seem to fight off stuff so well..
I am praying in the next few days its better and the swelling is gone..but for now I am spending most every moment on the couch...resting and then resting some more..

Quentin has been busy crocheting again and this time he has started to make his own creations. I am always impressed by what he makes. He is talented!

This is the purse he made without a pattern for his sister Gabriellia..

He is now going to be making purses of different colors for girls in our home fellowship and he tells me he is going to add a pocket on the inside. :)
Gabriellia made a burp cloth for a lady in our home fellowship that just had a baby and even put the initial of the baby's first name on it..:) I wish I would have taken a picture of it before we sent the gift to her! :(
I am always impressed by the wonderful things my children can create! :)
I don't think I ever put on here a picture of the blanket Gabriellia made for our new blessing Kian Adley..

This past Saturday was my oldest's graduation open house. It went well and she enjoyed it! It's bittersweet for this mama..I am so happy and excited for my dd in this new phase of life but sad that the years have flown by so quickly. I am excited to see what the L-rd's plan for her life is. Excited to see where He will lead her!
Our graduate!

And some new pictures of baby Kian Adley..

Josiah holding Kian Adley..

Blessings!!
