I used to get my nails done often and then redone when they needed it. I loved it! I felt feminine and pretty. My nails on their own are, well, just not pretty!
It was part of the new me that came about because I lost alot of weight. Well, I am losing again to get the pregnancy weight off and I am really thinking of going in and getting them done. I just need to for me..to feel pretty and feminine.
Do you have anything like that you do for yourself? Something that makes you feel more like a woman and pretty..??
~I am overdue for my nails to get done too. I love going with a girlfriend to do it and go out to dinner too. Nothing like a little galpal time and delicious nail colors to enjoy summer!~
ReplyDeleteI use to get them done all the time, and I just have not done it for many years. I have stopped coloring my hair too.....now I take bubble baths..LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm like you and get my nails done too, it's the one thing I do for myself. My real nails are not very pretty and I like looking at my hands and seeing pretty nails. In the summer I usually try to squeeze in at least two pedicures too!
ReplyDeleteI used to do the acrylic nails thing years ago, when I was young and didn't have children! Now I just don't feel like messing with it.
ReplyDeleteYou'll laugh when I tell you what does it for me...wearing a skirt. I just feel more like a home keeper when I wear a skirt...problem is that I don't have many so I guess I only feel like a good home keeper once in a while LOL.
Nails, toes and massage. I go in every 2 weeks. I take Mom with me and we make a girls day of it. We stop at Starbucks on the way and then we go out for Pho afterwards.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, sometimes I wished I could go alone and bemoaned having to take Mom along with me. After losing 2 of my sisters in the past 4 weeks, I will never think or fel that selfish way again. Time spent with my Mom is precious, and I intend to celebrate it from here on out.
